# Manage User Profile Appearance

This is an optional setting that is required only if you’re using leaderboards. Under **Users** > **Profiles**, you can define how a user profile is displayed on your widget.

The user profile name renders based on the attribute you select. In the **Attribute** section of the profile page, provide the following:

- **Alias**: This represents the label for the data, for example a first name, last name, or profile image.
- **Attribute**: This specifies the data field that displays in the widget. For example, a first name alias uses the first name attribute. A profile image alias uses the profile image attribute, which consists of a URL linked to an image.

To test how a profile appears, select an ID in the **User ID** field.
