# Reward Modifiers

Configure reward choice options, which includes random rewards or allowing users to select their preferred rewards.

When you configure a reward, **Simultaneously** is displayed under the **Rewards** section by default. This means that a user receives every reward associated with the loyalty feature you're configuring. For example, if you your reward configuration is 100 tokens, 1 quests, and an external reward, your users will receive all 3 rewards simultaneously.

You can use reward modifiers to change this reward configuration. Modifiers allow you to change your reward setup to one of the following two types, or a combination of both.

- **Choose Any**: This modifier allows users to select their preferred prize from all the prizes you’ve configured.

For example, if a reward rule has configured rewards of 50 tokens, 5 Free Spins from your bonus engine, and a quest, your user will have the option to select one or more of these rewards. You can specify an **Amount** to determine how many rewards they can choose.
- **Give Random**: This modifier allows you to assign a reward at random from all the prizes you’ve configured.

When using this modifier, you must specify the number of **Rounds** for the distribution. Rounds determine how many times the random selection process occurs for a single user. For example, if you set two rounds, the user receives two randomly selected rewards from all of the configured rewards.

You must also assign a **Weight** to each reward. The weight determines the likelihood of a prize being rewarded. For example, if you assign a weight of 10 to a token reward and a weight of 1 to a Quest reward, the tokens are 10 times more likely to be rewarded during a round.

You can use a combination of both modifiers. For example, if a quest has 10 potential rewards, you could configure the logic to first select a specific number of rewards at random, and then provide the user with the option to choose two prizes from that narrowed selection.

## Configure a modifier

To apply a modifier, follow these steps in the **Rewards** section of any loyalty feature:

1. Select **Simultaneously**
2. Select **Add**.
3. Choose one of the following options:
  - **Choose any**: Use this to allow user choice. You must specify the **Amount** of rewards the user is permitted to pick.
  - **Give Random**: Use this to automate random distribution. You must specify the number of **Rounds** for the distribution and the Weight for each individual reward.

After you have added your changes, an icon for **Choose** any or **Give random** is displayed below the **Rewards** section.
