Using inspirations

Prev Next

The Inspiration library is a set of ready-made flows that show what XpertOS can automate, from daily performance reports to campaign planning. Copying one is the fastest way to get your first automation running. This guide explains how Inspirations work, and how to tailor the prompt before the first run to get the exact output you want.

Browse the library

  1. Click Flows in the sidebar.

  2. Click Inspiration.

  3. Open any card to preview what the flow does, the blocks it contains, and the integrations it needs.

Copy a flow to your workspace

  1. Find a flow that matches what you want to do.

  2. After reading the preview click Use This Flow.

  3. A copy is created in My Flows and opens in the builder. The original stays in the library, and changes you make affect only your copy.

Tailor it before you run it

Inspiration flows arrive with example values in their prompts: placeholder time ranges, example offers, and benchmark figures. Your copy will run with those example values until you change them.

Update the prompt before the first run

If a flow refers to offers you do not run, or reports on a 30-day window when you want 7, that detail lives in the prompt. Running the flow without updating it produces output built on the example values, not yours.

To find and edit the prompt:

  1. In the builder, click the flow's AI block.

  2. The configuration panel opens on the right. The prompt is in the Your Instructions section, in the lower part of the panel.

  3. Read it through and replace the example detail with yours:

    • Time ranges: reporting windows, lookback periods

    • Offers and promotions: swap example offers for ones you actually run

    • Benchmarks: click rates or targets the flow compares against

    • Recipients and destinations: email addresses, Slack channels

  4. Check the schedule if the flow uses a scheduled trigger, and set it to when you want it to run.

  5. Save, then run the flow once manually to check the output before letting it run on a schedule.

If something looks wrong on the first run

  • Output mentions offers or events that are not yours: the prompt still contains example values. Edit the Instructions and run again.

  • A block fails with a connection error: the flow uses an integration you have not connected. Check the preview's required integrations against Settings > Integrations.

  • The report covers the wrong period: look for a time range in the prompt and in any query blocks.

What’s next

Once your copied flow runs the way you want, explore building your own from scratch, or ask your assistant to help: describe what you want to automate and it can help you shape it. Flows your whole team should use can be published as Team Flows.
