What Reports is, how a report is organised, and how to find your reports.

Early release

Reports is in early release (alpha). Xtremepush switches it on for each account. If you do not see Analyse in the sidebar, contact your Xtremepush account manager.

Reports turns a recurring report into one report with a history. An Xpert writes a dated edition for each period from your Xtremepush data, with charts that look the same in the app, in email and in PDF. When something should change, you say so and the Xpert proposes the edit for you to accept.

Walkthrough

The following video walks through the Reports feature within Analyse.

How a report fits together

Term

What it means

Report

The report itself: its name, its design, who it goes to and its history.

Version

A published design of the report: its data, its commentary sections and its page layout. Versions are numbered (v1, v2 and so on). You edit a draft, then save it as the next version. Published versions never change.

Edition

The report for one period, such as a day, a week (shown as w/c 20 Jul 2026) or a month. A report has at most one edition per period.

Take

One run of an edition. Running a period again makes a new take (Take 2, Take 3 and so on) and keeps the earlier ones in the history. The newest successful take is the edition's current one.

Each take is shown with the version that wrote it, so an old edition always looks as it did when it was delivered, even after the design changes.

A report made before the current design format shows This report needs redesigning when it runs. Open it in the design workspace and ask the Xpert to rebuild it.

A report reads its data from one Xtremepush instance: that instance's Intelligence data and its synced campaigns. The Xpert assigned to the report writes each take's headline, summary and commentary from that data.

Before you begin

  • Reports must be switched on for your account.

  • To design or run a report, you need access to the Xtremepush instance it reads from. A new report uses your default instance.

Things to note:

  • Anyone in your account can open and edit any report, regardless of who created it.

  • Some actions are for people only, never for an Xpert or the Assistant: publishing a version, sending a take, creating share links, accepting a proposed change, and changing where a report is delivered.

  • Only a tenant admin can change the house style and the share-link settings. See Setting your report house style and Delivering and sharing a report.
