What your assistant cannot do yet

Prev Next

Your assistant works through the Xtremepush API, and a small number of platform areas are not yet exposed to it. This page lists the current boundaries so you do not spend time on requests that cannot succeed. The list shrinks with each release; check the release notes for what has been added.

Data and Anlytics

While XpertOS has a deep integration with your Xtremepush project data, unless you have the Intelligence package connected in your project then XpertOS cannot view or query your Event data.

Current limitations

Area

What this means

What to do instead

Audience Segments

Standard segments: can create new segments and view existing ones, but cannot edit or delete an existing segment once created.

View and manage existing segments directly in the Xtremepush platform.

Campaigns

Can create and update campaigns, but always in draft state; cannot send, schedule, or launch anything live.

Use XpertOS to help plan and build your campaigns and then launch them directly from the Xtremepush platform.

Games and Loyalty

Cannot set up or review games (e.g. Free to Play / Gamify mechanics).

Cannot set up or review loyalty programmes.

Control these directly from within your Xtremepush project.

Notifications

No visibility into notification logs.

View directly from within the Xtremepush project.

Rolling segments

The assistant cannot view or edit rolling segment configuration. Questions about how a rolling segment is set up will not return accurate answers.

View and manage rolling segments directly in the Xtremepush platform.

Slack Permissions

Read access: The assistant cannot read the content of messages in any Slack channel, even ones XpertOS has been added to. Only sending, and listing channel names for the picker, are implemented.

Send access: XpertOS must be explicitly invited to a channel before it can post there.

Information used to help XpertOS plan and build campaigns for you should be pulled from other integrations such as Airtable, Asana, and Atlassian.

Campaign engagement and other related analytics should be pulled from your Xtremepush project.

Project configuration

The assistant cannot change Xtremepush project settings, tokens, or channel configuration.

Make configuration changes in the Xtremepush platform, or ask your account manager.

Unconnected tools

The assistant can only reach services listed in Settings > Integrations that are connected. It cannot browse arbitrary systems.

Check the integration list. If a tool you need is missing, tell your account manager: custom API connections can often cover it.

If the assistant seems unable to help

  • It reports a tool error or missing access: check the relevant integration is connected and the right Xtremepush instance is selected.

  • It gives an answer that does not match your platform: tell it what you see. If the mismatch persists, the area may not be exposed to it yet; let your account manager know so we can add it to this list or the roadmap.

What’s next

Try Using Inspirations to see ready-made automations you can start with.

We are actively expanding what the assistant can reach. New capabilities arrive in most releases and are recorded in the XpertOS release notes.
