BIMI for email
Learn about adding a brand icon against your emails
BIMI stands for Brand Indicators for Message Identification, and it is a new specification that allows brands to have their logo displayed next to their message in an email inbox.
It was created to help users identify legitimate emails from fraudulent emails. BIMI improves the engagement rate as recipients know who an email is coming from, but it will not impact deliverability if it's not set.
Email clients that support BIMI
Not all email clients support BIMI. As of May 2022, the following email clients support it:
- Gmail
- Yahoo
- AOL
- Netscape
- Fastmail
Each ISP has its own requirements. Clients will need to review the requirements by going to the BIMI group website. Xtremepush is not involved in this process.
Xtremepush already put several verifications in place to make sure that emails have the best deliverability rate when we help clients set up the email channel. To learn more about the email verification review our dedicated guide.
