🚧

Migrating running campaigns

You cannot migrate campaigns that are currently running. The system will prevent you from proceeding with migration for active campaigns.

Starting the Migration

After selecting "Migrate to JB 2.0," a popup will appear with information about the migration.

Click 'Start Migration' to begin the process. The system will initiate the migration as a background task. You will be automatically redirected to the Task details page where you can monitor the migration progress.

After Migration Completes

Once completed, you can access your migrated campaign by clicking the redirect link. Your campaign will now be using Journey Builder 2.0.

What Gets Migrated

The migration process transfers all campaign components and settings to the new format:

  1. Message Channels
All channel-specific content and settings will be preserved, including:
    1. Email: All fields, images, PDFs, and formatting. Multi-language emails will be converted to the new tab-based format with English as the default language
    2. Push Notifications (Android/iOS/Web):All content, images, URLs, and notification settings.
Multi-language push notifications will be transferred to the new separated tabs format.
    3. SMS:All message content and settings. Multi-language SMS will be converted to the new tab-based format.
    4. Inbox:All content, images, URLs, and formatting. Multi-language inbox messages will be migrated to the new separated tabs format.
  2. Workflow Components
All workflow logic and settings will be preserved:
    1. Decision Nodes: All conditions (AND/OR) and all five types of decision conditions
    2. Multi-Decision Nodes: All paths (A-E and else) with their respective conditions
    3. Delays: All five types of delay settings
    4. Ad Retargeting: Both add and remove options
    5. Promotions: Both add and remove options
  3. Layout
The workflow layout will be optimised during migration:
    1. Proper spacing between nodes
    2. Nodes repositioned to avoid overlapping
    3. Layout optimisation for complex workflows with multiple decision nodes

Important Notes

  1. Edit Limitations During Migration:
While migration is in progress, the Edit Workflow button will be disabled.
  2. Validation Errors:
After migration begins, the campaign cannot be saved or launched until migration completes.
  3. Duplicate Migration Attempts:
If you attempt to migrate a campaign that is already being migrated or has been migrated, you will receive an error message.
  4. Migration for Running Campaigns:
If you manage to initiate migration for a running campaign (through another browser tab), the migration task will fail with an error message.
