Configure Prizes
Configure your game's prizes to control their value, winning probability, and availability for different user segments.
Xtremepush games come with pre-built prize types and you'll need to configure each prize individually, including a no-win prize for instances where a user doesn't win anything.
Create a Prize
Each prize must be configured individually. To create a prize, do the following:
- In the Prizes tab, click Create Prize
- Select the type of prize you’re configuring using the Prize Reference drop-down
- Enter the internal details of your prize under Create Your Prize. See Internal Price Details below for more information.
- Enter the text presented to your user and the URL that directs the user out of the game under Layout References. See Configure Prize Messages below for more information.
Internal Prize Details
Configure your internal prize settings under Create Your Prize. These settings are for your internal reference and game’s prize management. Your users will not see this information.
- Name: Give the prize a unique and descriptive name.
- Customer Segment: Select the customer segment the prize is applicable to.
If you want a prize to be eligible for multiple customer segments, clone an existing prize and add the new segment to the cloned version. - Start Date and End Date: Define the period during which users are eligible for the prize.
- Weight: The weight determines the probability of a prize being awarded relative to all other prizes. You must enter a value between 0.01 and 99.99. A higher weight increases the chance of that prize being won.
A prize's winning probability is its individual weight as a proportion of the total weight of all prizes combined. For example, to make a prize for a VIP segment five times more likely to be won than a general prize, you must assign it a weight of 0.5 versus the general prize's 0.1. - Volume (optional): Enter the total number of times you want to award this prize throughout the campaign.
- Daily and Weekly Limit (optional): Set limits to the number of times the prize can be awarded per day and per week.
Using Volume and Limits
The volume and limit fields are optional and should only be used for rare, high-value prizes. For example, you can set a daily limit of one for a €10,000 prize. If there are no limits, leave these fields empty.
- No Consecutive Same Prize: Turn on this toggle to prevent any user from winning the prize more than once consecutively.
- Promotions: If your Xtremepush account is integrated with bonus engines, you can associate the prize with specific promotions. When a user wins this prize, the linked promotion will be assigned to them. If applicable, define the value of the promotion in Promotion Amount.
Configure Prize Messages
In the Layout References section, you can configure the text your user will see when they are awarded the prize. You can also configure the URL that directs the user out of the game after winning the prize.
To configure these details:
- Enter the prize texts that will appear in the game’s interface. These text fields differ depending on the game or the layout file you’ve uploaded.
- Enter a URL to redirect the user to a different page after the game ends. This is important to prevent users from getting stuck in the same game screen.
