Audit Log for Consent Management
View changes made to consent preferences and custom channels
The Consent Management Audit Log provides a detailed record of all the changes related to the consent preferences and custom consent channels configured in the Consent Management tab. Use the audit log to track when changes were made, what was changed, and who made the change.
This audit log is useful for maintaining compliance and troubleshooting any issues related to consent preferences.
Navigate to the Audit Log
There are two ways to view the audit logs for any configured consent preference or channel:
- Go from Data> Consent Management>Audit Log
- Clicking the details icon for channels in the Channels tab or preferences in the Preferences tab.
Audit Log Details
The log displays a chronological record of the channels and preferences created in the Consent Management. Each entry in the log provides the following information:
Column | Description |
---|---|
Timestamp | The exact date and time the preference/channel was added or changed. |
Action | The type of action performed: - Created: A consent preference or custom channel was created for the first time. - Updated: A consent preference was updated. - Deleted: A consent preference or a custom channel was deleted. |
Type | - Preference: Indicates that a consent preference was created, updated, or deleted/ - Channel: Indicates that a channel was created or affected. |
Name | The name of the specific consent preference or custom channel that was affected. |
Changed By | The user or system that initiated the change |
Summary | An overview of the specific change made to a preference. Options include: - Display Name Changed: Indicates that the display name of the preference has changed. - Channel Added - Channel Removed |
